Heavy ice is occurring in places in North Carolina and Virginia this
morning. If you look at the weathercam at my childhood home in the
Northern Foothills of NC this morning you can see the heavy ice
accumulating, in fact if you look at the 4-hour animation (by clicking on
the image) you can see a branches descend towards the ground:
