Rainy season's slow start no cause for alarm
Amid dry weather, Lake Mendocino drops to 47% capacity
It is less than half full -- with capacity at about 47 percent of the
10-year average. "It's a significant loss of water. If we don't get some
more rain, we will go into next summer with a much lower lake elevation and
that could have some severe ramifications," said Steve Leonard, park
manager at Lake Mendocino.
