Hello,
My station, here in Baiting Hollow NY, recieved
1.73" of rainfall from this weekends storm. The rain
caused many farm fields to flood so bad that they
turned into ponds. Some of the fields had ponds over
120' across and at least 18" deep (based on my
knowledge of what the ground in the area looks like).
The storm also brought ten minute wind speeds between
18mph. and 23mph. today with a peak gust to 43mph.
Due to the breezy conditions this morning the wind
chills were driven down to a season low, an average of
16º with a low of 9º on my station (about 27º
calculated with the new wind chill formula).
I also noted that NOAA bouy 44011 reported 26'
waves this afternoon and a light house on the north
Maine coast reported 59mph. winds with gusts to 64mph.
yesterday. This in addition to pressures as low as
29.05".
