Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the high desert of the Mid Atlantic. A
dreaded November Nor Easter rambled up the east coast of the US this weekend
(Nov. 16-17). My homestead in the hills has been in an extreme drought since
July 1998. The rainfall was welcomed but not overly impressive. My station
saw 1.24 inches of rain over the weekend. Many areas east and south of my
station received twice as much rain. Some areas saw three times as much. The
wind was quite brisk. The peak gust happened on Nov. 16 when the wind gusted
out of the east at 53 mph. The average wind for the two days was a swift 26.1
mph. Precipitation for the month of November is 3.94 inches. It is the fourth
consecutive month with above average precipitation. The last time that
happened was March-June 1998. Until later..........................
Jim
