FROM CNN: "An unusual outbreak of tornadoes has killed at least 36 people
in five states and about 75 others in Tennessee are unaccounted for.
Weather officials believe that more than 50 tornadoes touched down Sunday
and early Monday in the eastern United States. Emergency workers and
stunned residents in six states Monday searched through the wreckage of
homes and buildings shattered by a series of severe storms overnight that
killed at least 36 people. Preliminary figures from the National Weather
Service showed that more than 50 tornadoes touched down throughout the
eastern United States. Most of those killed were in Tennessee, where 17
people died. Twelve others died in Alabama, five in Ohio, one in
Pennsylvania and one in Mississippi. One storm slammed into the town of
Mossy Grove, in eastern Tennessee, cutting a path of destruction about a
mile long and a mile wide, officials said." ALSO FEATURES REPORTS FROM...
