The first measurable snowfall of the year occured in Mechanicsburg PA today. It started out as a sleet event, but quickly turned into heavy wet snowflakes. About 1/2 inch fell before it turned back into rain and melted. haven't heard much about icy roads, but poor visibility did lead to several accidents on the Harrisburg beltway.

For those who do not know and want to plot, my observation point is 1/2 mile north of the Route 15 I-76 intersection in Cumberland County PA.
