Strong winds hit Britain and Europe's North Sea coast
Sunday, killing eight people, damaging buildings and
disrupting rail, air and sea travel.

Fire and ambulance officials said six people in
Britain, including three children, were killed by
falling trees. A 14-year-old girl was killed after a
tree crushed the car she was sitting in near Market
Drayton in central England. Her mother and sister were
injured. The East Anglia Ambulance Service said two
children were killed by falling trees in separate
incidents in eastern England.
