    Watching the local news here in Rochester, NY the actual totals in the
Syracuse/Utica area were only in the 1-2" range, the radar was indicating
snow and ice higher in the atmosphere giving a higher radar reflection and
thus a higher estimated rainfall. At my house in Bloomfield, NY we recorded
0.75" of rain even though it rained steadily all day. Temperatures hovered
in the low 40's all day too.
