Doppler estimates are showing 6-10" of rain in New York State

Other than that, most of the heavy rain was offshore in the past 24
hours. Many areas from the Carolinas through Maine got a decent does of
rain with this storm.

Allentown PA set a record rainfall:

643 PM EDT WED OCT 16 2002 ...DAILY RECORD PRECIPITATION SET IN
ALLENTOWN... AS OF 5 PM...THE PRECIPITATION AT LEHIGH VALLEY INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT NEAR ALLENTOWN TOTALED 1.22 INCHES. THIS BREAKS THE OLD DAILY
RECORD PRECIPITATION OF 1.21 INCHES...SET IN 1974.
