[STORMREPORTS] Lili Update, Threat to New Orleans

I sent out last week, during Isidore, the following Reuters report:

"If at some point you have a major hurricane -- and there's one sitting
offshore as we speak -- arrive directly into New Orleans...then
virtually all of central New Orleans would be underwater."

The following website has a great infographic about what would happen to
New Orleans during a hurricane. Since the city itself is under sea
level, it would be under water if a major hurricane pushed storm surges
over the levee:

According to them, 14.5 ft. is the height of the levee protecting New
Orleans and as you can see below, NHC is already predicting an 8-12 foot
storm surge in New Orleans, with the storm hitting as far away as the
central LA coast. So this is a very dangerous situation.
