SUBJECT: LI wind &rain
greetings, Well, here in Baiting Hollow, NY, we got 1.88" of
rain and several gusts to around 40mph. There were two gusts
to 42mph. and a one minute sustained wind speed of 34mph.
Also had a ten minute average wind speed of 24mph.

SUBJECT: Heavy rains at the high desert.
Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the high desert of
the Mid Atlantic. This has been a good week at my station
(Smithsburg, MD 2 NE) here in the hills. After suffering
through an extreme drought since 1998 my station received
some welcomed rains. For this week my station has received
4.52 inches of rain. Precipitation for September is now
above average. That is now two consecutive months with above
average precipitation. The last time that happened was May
and June 2000. Isidore said hi on the way by with some brisk
