We are experiencing 60+ mph wind gusts here in western North Carolina. Many
trees are uprooting from the long drought followed by the ground being
weakened from the recent rainfall.

Currently, the most effected area is in west Asheville, NC.

CP&L says there are currently 3,000+ customers without power.
