Location: Mechanicsburg PA (Cumberland County 10 miles west of Harrisburg)

Hello all,

Rain started before dawn this morning and has only gotten heavier throughout the day. here is the progression of rain in Mechanicsburg according to the times I have been able to check the gauge.

11:00 AM - 0.03 inches
1:00 PM - 0.04 inches
6:00 PM - .40 inches
9:45 PM - .98 inches - Rain rate .12 in/hr

So far here are the reports from the Metro Harrisburg area.

9:45 PM - Rainfall totals in inches

Mechanicsburg - .98"
Dillsburg (York County) 1.01"
Harrisburg (downtown) .74"
Carlisle - .84"

Nothing else to report at this time. The scanner is quiet for the most part. As of 6:00 PM the Yellow Breeches creek at Messiah College in Grantham was still flowing fine. Just a cold wet night here.
