i was watching it on doppler, the t-storms developed to the north of nyc just
after 3pm,then after awhile the t-storms kept on strengthening and
intensifying into pretty big huge t-storms with torrential blinding rains.i
didnt see the nws in nyc issue any severe t-storms warnings, but the
t-storms,some of the cells anyways were spiking above 40,000ft.so by the time
it was around 4pm and there after, the t-storms were that big.then just to the
southwest of nyc another big developing t-storms had developed, then there was
a line of big powerfull t-storms stretching from the southwest part of ct
down thru nyc into notheastern parts of nj and these storms were heading
northeastward during this past late afternoon some 4-5hrs ago.i also
witnessed the t-storms and torrential rains in nyc in times square, although i
wasnt there, but i saw it on the earthcam and it looked like they were getting
hit pretty hard by the t-storms and torrential blinding rains 4-5hrs ago.
