Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the weather office at Reagan National
Airport in Washington, DC. At 3:20 this afternoon the temperature at Reagan
National hit 98 degrees breaking the old record for this date of 97 degrees
set in 1995. With a cold front stalling along the Mason Dixon Line for one
more day the record high for tomorrow (Aug. 19) of 97 degrees set in 1914
could be in jeopardy. This is the fourth record high temperature at DCA for
the month of August. I will have to double check but that could be the most
new high temps. in August here at DCA since the great drought of 1930. With
only 0.09 inches of precipitation so far in August it is quite dry in the
Nations Capital. Until later.................
Jim
