In central and southern Illinois on Monday, there were numerous
reports of rainfall rates of 2-3" per hour, even upwards of 4" in
Richland county. Minor flooding was reported in many areas. There
was also quite a bit of wind damage and power outages. There was a
possible tornado in Cumberland county.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
RICHLAND COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS
* UNTIL 300 AM CDT
* AT 1044 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN SOUTHWEST OF OLNEY.
2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS BEEN ESTIMATED SINCE 930 PM CDT.
* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS RICHLAND
COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM 2 TO 6 INCHES BY
100 AM. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING.
