Torrential downpours have produced 10 inches of rain
60 miles southwest of Houston in the past 6 hours.
Rainfall amounts in the metro area are from 2-5
inches, with 2 inch amounts an hour.

The Houston NWS radar has been out of service since
Thursday from a direct lightning strike...was supposed
to be up & running yesterday but the damage was more
severe...should be up & running Monday evening.
