RE: [STORMREPORTS] Quebec forest fires send smoke south (update)

Yesterday, I flew a private airplane to Quebec City, PQ.

The smoke layer was thick to very thick all the way from Harrisburg, PA to
just SE of Quebec City where there was no smoke at all.

The heaviest smoke concentration seemed to be just SE of Montreal. The top
of the smoke layer there was just under 15,000 ft.

Further beyond Quebec City to the NW there appeared to be additional pockets
of smoke at even higher altitudes.

Visibility on my return to Harrisburg, PA was less than 1/2 mile at 6:00 PM

I can just imagine what Arizona must be like.
