..SMOKE FROM FIRES IN QUEBEC PROVINCE CANADA...
SMOKE FROM FIRES NEAR JAMES BAY IN CENTRAL QUEBEC PROVINCE CANADA
APPROXIMATELY 700 MILES AWAY HAS MOVED SOUTH ACROSS THE LOWER HUDSON
VALLEY...METROPOLITAN NEW YORK...NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AND CONNECTICUT.
PREVAILING SURFACE AND UPPER LEVELS WINDS ARE FROM THE SOURCE OF THE
FIRES...OR NORTH...AND WILL CONTINUE TO BRING SMOKE FROM THE FIRES THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
SATELLITE SHOWS THE PLUME OF SMOKE IS CONTINUING TO MOVE THROUGH THE
REGION AND IT SHOULD CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH TONIGHT.
THE SKY MAY BE REDDISH AT SUNDOWN AND IF THE CONCENTRATION OF SMOKE IS
THICK ENOUGH AT SUNRISE ON SUNDAY. THE SMOKE HAS REDUCED THE
VISIBILITIES IN SOME LOCATIONS DOWN TO 3 MILES.
