was pretty serious. Looked like tornado weather - lots of wind and darkness.

"As much as three inches of rain fell by midday in parts of Louisiana and
southwest Texas. Flash flood warnings were posted in the region, and some
local roads were closed because of high water. Nearly 4 inches of rain fell
in Lake Charles, La. by midday."
