Some very heavy thunderstorms went through the Ocean County NJ this afternoon. One of them almost putting me out of commission. Here is a pic I just took of a tree about 10 ft from my front door. It looks as if someone took a router that was about 3-4" wide and 2" deep and made a swirl down the tree. And it could not have been any louder, it was a crack I will never forget.
