From: FMCI, T. F. Giella (fmci{at}tampabay.rr.com)
Date: Sat Jun 15 2002 - 13:18:53 EDT

Our persistent regionalized convergence zone that had been out in the
eastern Gulf Of Mexico yesterday moved onshore north of Tarpon Springs
during the overnight
hours of this morning. My 48 hour storm total here in Plant City is 3.23"
but fellow
Weather Matrix member and Ham Radio Operator KK4TR Joe Dube of Brooksville,
FL measured
4.69" of rain just in the overnight period of early this morning.

This Morning NWS Tampa Bay Said:

.....AT THE SFC...LOW PRES WAVE CENTERED JUST W OF SARASOTA. MARINE
WINDS TELL THE TALE...WITH NW FLOW OF 10-15 KT N OF THE LOW AND SW
FLOW 15 KT AND GUSTY S OF IT.

DISC: AT LONG LAST SOME COASTAL COS N OF TAMPA BAY GOT THEIR DUE
IN RAINFALL...AND THEN SOME. AT LEAST 5-7 INCHES FELL OVERNIGHT IN
PORTIONS OF N PASCO AND HERNANDO CO. HOWEVER...OTHER AREAS N AND S
OF THE BAND HAD LITTLE OR NO RAIN.....
