WeatherMatrix HQ received 1.70" of rain today between 9am and 6pm, on top
of last night's .39" and the day before's 0.90". I observed numerous
occurences of flooding of streets and low level areas in Centre county
observed tonight. A large portion of the city has been without power since
3pm, likely due to flooding.
Additionally... the temperature fell from 89 yesterday afternoon to 59 this
afternoon. Coupled with a cool breeze, the wind chill is in the 40s.
From the local NWS Office:
>...Minor flooding through this evening in Clearfield and Centre
>counties...
>
>Heavy rainfall has caused small creeks and streams to rise to
>near...or just over bankfull. Rain will become lighter this evening.
>However...minor flooding could last until around midnight.
A number of more serious flooding reports have been received by the NWS all
across the Northeast.
