"Weekend Storm: Carolina/Virginia Coasts Beware - Tropical Connection?

A weak trough may interact with lower pressure north of Cuba and
tropical moisture off the East Coast this weekend. That would lead to a
hybrid (partially tropical) storm that would be off the southern coast
of Florida Sunday. There is the potential for heavy rain, rough surf and
coastal flooding on the Carolina and Virginia coasts late Monday."
