The system that passed through here last night-one that stemmed from the
storm in Roanoke, was only filled with frequent lightening and a few gusts
of wind when the storm first approached. The brunt of the system seemed to
have missed our local area.

Subject: [STORMREPORTS] One dead in severe storm Roanoke Virginia
One person was killed, and two others were injured in
Roanoke, Virginia yesterday afternoon (Mon. May 14)
during a severe storm. Apparently, they were setting up
a tent at the Roanoke Stadium. The winds from the storm
blew over a tree which fell on the tent.
