...Survey team finds tornado damage...
The National Weather Service damage survey team found evidence of a
tornado which touched down in the city of Bedford Sunday afternoon...
lifted...then made multiple touchdowns in eastern Bedford County and
Campbell County to approximately 5 miles west of Rustburg.
The city of Bedford included both straight line wind and tornado
damage. The tornado damage in the city of Bedford was categorized
as F1 on the fujita tornado scale. The tornado intensified to
F2 category in eastern Bedford and Campbell counties.
A more complete information statement will be released after the
survey team returns to the office this evening.
