Heavy Rain: Peru Building Collapses
LIMA (Reuters) - At least 10 Peruvians died, 30 were injured and 15
remained missing on Friday after a three-story building in the southern
city of Puno suddenly collapsed, firefighters said.
They said the building, which housed a pre-university academy, had
collapsed because two floors of cement had at some stage been built on top
of an adobe structure. Heavy rain had also weakened the building,
precipitating the fall
