NWS logged a spotter report (Waukegan [UGN]) of tornado touchdown on
beach as it moved out into the lake, 7:43pm just after you hit the
basement. I was observing from about 40 mi. South.
I saw (with envy) the 20 degree temp drop in the hourly logs, noting
that it did not spread to me [PWK], but didn't have your resolution to
15 minutes; wow!
Thanks for the report. Subsequental frontal passage wasn't very
stirring here.
