A thunderstorm rapidly developed and became severe early this evening in Eastern Nebraska near Omaha. Now as of 11:25PM CDT the storm is approaching central Iowa with 60 + mph winds, dangerous lightning that is striking well away from the storms The NWS of Des Moines has been advising residence to stay indoors away from windows because of the dangerous lightning. LWWN or (Local Weather Website Network) President Andrew Stutzke and Weather Specialist Dan Gottschalk have been monitoring these storms carefully. So far we have received reports of everything from golf ball sized hail completely covering the ground to a confirmed tornado sighting this evening along with several tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings. Most likely damage from this storm will be seen on all networks tomorrow morning. Who knows what the SPC was doing this evening, no mesoscale discussion or anything was posted about this storm. Anyone that lives in the area of the storm we would love to hear what you experienced.
