Despite the lack of lightning in the storms, a severe thunderstorm watch
and multiple warnings (most of the western third of PA is under warnings)
continue. No lightning has been detected in the northeast US in the past
45 minutes, nor by the WeatherMatrix lightning detector. However, the
winds with these storms are coming with already high winds, near 40mph at
WeatherMatrix HQ.
Widespread tree damage occurred in Ohio today with these storms including
an 84mph gust.
