Hello,

We've had almost every kind of weather possible over the last 36 hours in
western lower Michigan. Friday began with temperatures rising above
freezing and going all the way to the lower 50's. We experienced
thunderstorms on Friday morning as the warm front swept through the area.
Temperatures reached the lower 50's during the afternoon along with a brisk
wind from the south. We began melting the 14 plus inches of snow we
received the previous weekend very quickly.

Another round of showers and storms went through about 6pm with some heavier
rain.

Temperatures overnight held close to 50 and then at about 6am we experienced
another storm.

Finally, after a morning of off and on rain, the real fireworks hit at about
1pm. The rain began to fall heavily and winds increased rapidly just behind
the powerful cold front as it passed through the area. Within 30 minutes
(no lie) the temps fell 15 to 20 degrees and the heavy rain quickly turned
to wet snow. Now, our temps are around 30 and snow continues to fall.
Blizzard warnings have been issued for the upper peninsula and northern
lower Michigan as much as 8 to 10 inches of lake effect snow will fall
before it ends tomorrow afternoon. This coupled with 35 to 55 mph winds
will make things a bit dangerous.
