A period of snow occured across portions of Western Kentucky on
Friday Afternoon into the evening. The snow, heavy at times,
brought "2-3" of snow accumalation. The snow began around 3PMCST, at
first it did not accumalate as temperatures were in the upper 30s.
As the snow began to fall, evaporational cooling caused temperatures
to fall, the snow began to accumalate to grassy surfaces and
eventually to road surfaces. The National Weather Service was
forecasting snow amounts of "1" or less. Freezing Fog this morning
and the combination of overnight snow caused patches of black ice to
form on area roads. Yet another round of Winter Weather is
possible. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect tonight. Another "3-5"
are possible.
