It was 20 deg. this morning at Crestview in the panhandle north, 22 deg.
at Alachua in the non panhandle north, 24 deg. at Brooksville and 28 deg.
at my location here in Plant City on the central peninsula, 32 deg at
Archbold on the south central peninsula, 33 at Belle Glade in the northern
Everglades and 35 at Immokalee in the southern Everglades. We decoupled wind
wise overnight and frost was very heavy across the region.
Unless we get some upstream cirrus with the next 500 mb shortwave trough,
the south central and northern and SW Everglades agriculture regions will
see a hard freeze event tonight.
