freeze warning for tonight in Coastal Georgia
A secondary cold front moving through will usher in clearing skies
along with much colder and drier air into the region. Low
temperatures will bottom out in the upper 20s inland to just below
freezing near the river and beaches. Durations below freezing will be
3 to 5 hours inland and around 2 hours near the river and beaches. A
freeze warning is issued when surface air temperatures are forecast
to fall below 32 degrees for more than 1 to 2 hours. Pets are also
suspect to the extreme cold. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
