The snow began at 12:54pm, and acumalated 4" before ending about 7:30pm.
The heaviest snow, mixed with graupel at times, fell between 2 & 4 pm,
and about 6pm. For a short time, it changed to ice pellets (4:30pm).
The 2nd round of snow arrived about 1:30am today. It is not hard enough
yet to accumulate again (at least on boot prints i made Sun evening).
During the onset, accidents were a major problem. EMS workers tend to
victims at one of hundreds of wrecks in the Shenadoah Valley Sunday
afternoon.
One trooper reported that his dispatcher had just received six in 2
minutes!

The city impleted the first stage of the snow emergency about 90 minutes
after it started. Crews were salting & plowing other streets in my
neighborhood by 6pm. However they had not done my street at 7pm,
although it had been plowed around 9pm.

That is it for now. Did not shovel Sunday evening (was hoping a neighbor
would snowblow it, but not yet though). Will push it the old fashion way
once it over or above freezing later today.
