We are getting some strong CAA this afternoon on the west central peninsula
with temps falling into the low 40's and light rain/drizzle on 25 mph wind
gusts from the NW. We seem to have a weak upper level disturbance passing
across the central peninsula this afternoon.
It looks to me like the freezing line will make it down to SR 70 in inland
rural south central by early Friday morning on NNW-N winds of 10-15 mph. It
now also looks to me that we will get some good DAA into the southern
peninsula tomorrow with a shortwave ridge coming across aloft in conjunction
with the surface high tomorrow night. What does all this mean? Probable
clear skies and calm winds for early Saturday morning and mid to upper 20's
in the inland south central citrus belt, with upper teens to low 20's north
central and low to mid 20's central. The high clouds with the next cold
weather system will not arrive until later Saturday, hope I'm wrong!
