I have been keeping records for my hometown of Tabernacle in Southern
NJ, dating back to the winter of 1981-1982. To date, the latest into
the season we have gone without a trace of frozen precipitation
occurred just 2 years ago, when the trace of snow fell on December
21, 1999. We continue to break that mark daily this year. So far
there has been no frozen precip in Tabernacle this season.
Coincidentally, the late start in 1999 did not hamper us from
receiving near normal snow totals for the winter, accumulating to a
total of 21.25 inches.
