Hi all,

while SE Europe has had its "own" heavy and unusual
winter weather, the central parts are now preparing
for a white Christmas, at least for the most of us :)
after two weeeks of anticyclonical weather (PRES highs
up to 1043hpa over Germany)with sun the first days,
then some snow for Bvaria and now foggy, cold and wet
conditions (We had about 1cm of snow here at 300m ASL
the past 2 days),
three significant weather systems are now expected to
move in from the NNW.
The first will probably arrive WED afternoon with rain
turning to snow in the evening, the second (maybe
strongest) on FRI with yet more white stuff...
I expect some 12-20cm for the higher el. 3-6cm for the
valleys (Rhine), and 15-25cm for S Germany (above
400m)
Regards,
Lars

(IŽll keep updating until SAT :) )
