Hi from east Belgium,
a strong persistent high over the North sea and
further east brought us a significant temperature drop
today. highs were between 4°C in extr. wrn Germany to
-3°C in the SE before a pool of bitterly cold air
spread westward after midday; the readings are now
mostly below -2°C (about 0°C along the coast) with
values as deep as -15°C in SE Germany (Munich area)
East winds will continue to bring very cold but dry
weather before a weak system moves in from the north
with some freezing rain/light snow further south...
WE had some sc clouds (6/8)today before the wind blew
a little stronger from the east and skies cleared.
In Munich and surroundings, there were some snow
showers on TUE/WED which dropped some 3-7cm of the
"white stuff"
We´re all waiting for a better chnace to get those
famous but rare white Christmas up here (30% by
now...)
Regards,
Lars Lowinski
