- A record high was tied in Raleigh, North Carolina, this afternoon
               with a high of 76 degrees. The previous record was set in
1990. A
               record was tied in Wilmington, N.C., with a high of 80
degrees. The
               previous record was set in 1999. Also in North Carolina,
a record was
               set in Charlotte with a high of 75 degrees. The previous
record was
               74 set in 1946.
