The winds have shifted to West and Northwest here in Northwest South
Carolina, and the smoke from fires in neighboring mountains are
descending upon us like fog. Visibility is about 2-3 miles, and
appears to be dropping steadily. No doubt, people with respiratory
problems need to take precaution and heed to any air quality
warnings, should they be issued.
