I'm not sure if this image is correct or not (storm total images are not
generally incorrect but are estimated, and are often low for tropical
situations), but if it is...

Doppler Radar From Lake Charles LA indicates, for 8/26-9/4:

Primarily 3-9" over most of the scope, a few areas of 1-3", no less than
1".
A wide area of 15" or more.
A maximum of 52.0".
