Tropical Depression "19-W" is now located approximately 645 miles east of the Northern Mariana Islands and generally heading toward the west at around 8 mph.
The storm is currently producing maximum sustained winds were up to 35 mph and gusts to 45 mph.

The depression is forecast to intensify rather quickly through late Thursday as the atmospheric conditions become more favorable for further development. Another factor contributing to the strengthening will be the warm waters.

The potential does exist for the storm to reach land, possibly Japan by late weekend or early next week.
