LA CONCEPCION, Honduras (Reuters) -- As drought ravages Central
America, desperate farmers can do little more than scavenge for food
and
hope next year's harvest will not be decimated like this year's.
Some 1.5 m illion people across Central America are suffering from a
three-month drought in what is normally the rainy season, with food
shortages
approaching crisis proportions in some areas, according to the United
Nations
World Food Program.
