                 HONG KONG, July 8 — The death toll from a powerful
tropical storm rose
                 to 125 on Saturday as three people were killed when it
swept through the
                 southeastern Chinese province of Guangdong. The storm
wiped out 4,700
                 homes and caused $2.6 billion in damage, China’s
state-run media
                 reported Saturday.
