Hello,

Just cc&p'd this together before i head to work. I will be thinking of
the storms this afternoon, i hope at least some of you have good chases.
Moderate risk now extends to just south od Mason Dixon line. In nw VA,
we have high threat of damaging wind, moderate threat of large hail, &
slight risk of tornados. Max QPFs
are at 1.5" in the LWX forecast area. Hopefully the storms will wait
till later today, so i can film them here. However t-storms have fired
arleady to the NW and temp now is 81 and DP is 70%.

And Larry Cosgrove's newsletter did not get out this am... he wrote:

WEATHERAmerica For Sunday (Sorry)
Friends,
Just as I hit the send button my computer "went to sleep"! Therefore,
the
newsletter will not be published today (July 1 2001) but will resume
tomorrow. Some quick comments to note:
1) A significant outbreak of severe weather is likely today across
extreme E
QB, N Br, ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, KY,
OH, IN,
and C/S IL as a string cold front moves through the Northeast. No major
changes in reasoning or model information are apparent compared to the
previous convective outline issued by me on June 30.
2) Yet another episode of powerful thunderstorms will take shape over
the
northern High Plains late today and tonight. This feature, which will
link
with a very powerful (re: COLD) trough complex in the Prairie Provinces,
should target the Upper Midwest tomorrow, the Great Lakes and Ohio
Valley on
Tuesday, then hit New England and the Mid-Atlantic states on (you
guessed it)
July 4th.
Have a great Sunday!
Larry Cosgrove
