Today in Philadelphia, the high was 94, but it could be 95 depending on when
reports are analyzed later tonight. The maximum heat index recorded was 97,
but just outside of the city in Mount Holly, a maximum index of 100 was
recorded, same in Middletown near Harrisburg and southward in Delaware and
Eastern Maryland.

92 today in Washington, DC
94 in Baltimore
90 in New York City

Urban heat advisories which was in effect today will not be issued tomorrow.
A backdoor cold front will play tag with us and just keep us to about 92.
Upper 70s down by the Jersey shore though.

But a southerly flow will come back with a vengeance on Saturday. Highs
around 96 in Philadelphia with a heat index as high as 102. 93 on Sunday,
with the cold front coming back again. Maybe some severe thunderstorms
though (don't need any of those).

Keep cool!
