Well woke up this moring and Northern IL had a slight risk of severe weather
today. By the time I got home they had a blue box issued for my county which was
set to expire at 9:00PM CDT. Well the SPC issued another on to take us to
midnight. I was watching radar on my weathertap.com accounnt and keeping a eye
on my e-mail also for warning that were close to me when was issued for
Dekalb,Boone and Winnebago Counties. So I take off out the door and start to
hear my locaol county ema start sending spotters out and I am starting to
realize that they are going to have this whole in their coverage so I decide
hell I am gonna give them a hand and spot. So I head to this spot that my wife
can not stand due to a past spotting expirence :) and got to see some nice CG
and that is really about it.
Final Thought:
Well it was nice to get out locally for once to chase but I still enjoy the
driving part. Got to see some nice CG and hopefully one of the strikes turned
out on my video tape. It was also nice to help the public as I used to as it was
a nice change of pace.
