Home destroyed, but couple alive (Detroit Free Press)
At about 4 p.m. Monday, Ethel Hawley stood in front of her demolished
Hartland Township home. Trees twisted from their trunks -- some of them
more than 200 feet high -- surrounded her. She fought back tears.
