Hello Everyone,

Well I had a splended weekend & on Monday made a trip down to Richmond,
Virginia to raifan {Trains}. It was sunny & hot with Yesterday's Hi's
{BOTH new records I might add} where 92F in Richmond, Va & 88F here in
Manassas, Va.

Here are some photos from the trip:

Amtrak 315 leads Train PO95 north threw Doswell, Va on a beautiful
summer like day:

CSXT 2267 sits awaiting it's next job:

The Sun plays tricks with my camera view:

Have you ever wanted a cold glass of OJ on a hot summer like day! Well
here you go:

This shot is of CSXT K650 {Tropicana Orange Juice Train} passing threw
Ashland, VA.

Ashland is unique as two extremely busy RR tracks pass threw the center
of town & right by houses with roads on each sides of the tracks.

Almost 80 trains a day pass by here.

The trees here are already in bloom & it was a fantastic view with the
temp at 92F.

SUNDAY NIGHT:

On the way home Sunday night around 10:15pm I noted lightning in the
distance & my first thought was " Whoo Hoo time to celebrate".

I watched the storm on my left side while traveling along the Fairfax
County Parkway. It was a beautiful sight to see the cloud to cloud &
cloud to ground lightning strikes. I had assumed the storm was in
Manassas at the time & would come home into the frying pan. But alas
only some sprinkles fell. Lots of Lightning, some wind, O thunder at all
& a fantastic Moon afterwards.

Made for a great night!

LAST NIGHT:

I met up with my dad yesterday evening as we d on a weekly basis. Noted
before I leftthe house of a Severe Tstorm watch out & we decided to keep
an eye to the sky.

>From about 7:45-10:30pm the wind blew { Max PPG 33 mphat the house}
Lightning was visiable in several directions but noteable is there was
no Thunder at all with these bolts. No Ran at all.

A Tstorm wth rain finally moved in about 11:15pm & then showers as I
returned home around Midnight.
